The engine produces strong torque at low rpm, while the hydrostatic transmission provides smooth, infinitely variable speed control — up to 9 km/h forward and 10 km/h reverse.

The D5K’s standout advantage is its SystemOne™ undercarriage, which reduces maintenance time and costs by eliminating the need for regular track tension adjustments and extending component life. The XL configuration runs on 510 mm track shoes with a ground pressure of 39.1 kPa, while the LGP configuration uses 660 mm shoes (optional 770 mm) to reduce ground pressure to 31.1 kPa (or 27.1 kPa with 770 mm shoes), making it ideal for soft or muddy ground.
