At its core is the Cat® C2.8 turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 51.8 kW (69.5 hp) of net power at 2,200 rpm and 55.4 kW (74.3 hp) of gross power. The new C2.8 engine features a “fit for life” diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and diesel particulate filter (DPF) that requires no maintenance, reducing service requirements and costs. It meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emission standards.

The 310 Next Generation delivers up to 20% more performance with improvements in lift, swing, travel, and multifunction capabilities compared to previous models. It features a load-sensing hydraulic system with variable displacement piston pump providing 233 L/min of flow. Stick Steer is standard, allowing operators to switch from traditional lever/pedal controls to joystick control with the push of a button. The Economy Mode reduces fuel consumption by up to 20% while maintaining productivity

The Cat 3066 TA engine features a long-stroke piston design for exceptional torque at low to medium speeds, ensuring outstanding productivity in the toughest working environments. With excellent fuel consumption compared to other engines in its class, combined with the Economy Mode function, operators can balance performance and fuel economy to suit specific job requirements.
