Manufactured from approximately 2006 to 2015, this model represents Komatsu's 6-series generation with advanced ecot3 engine technology and enhanced fuel efficiency.

At its core is the Komatsu SAA6D125E-5 turbocharged, aftercooled diesel engine – an 11.04L, 6-cylinder powerplant delivering 203 kW (272 HP) of net power at 2,000 rpm and 204 kW (273 HP) gross power. This ecot3 engine meets EU Stage IIIA emission standards, providing high torque at low speeds with excellent fuel efficiency.
